College is a place to explore many possibilities;you really can’t do it all-unless you manage your time wisely. Here are some tips I have found very helpful for managing my time and maximizing my study efforts:

1. Determine your goals. What do you want to get out of a college education? Academic(学术的) knowledge? Leadership experience within a club? Decide what is most important to you. Then devote proportionate (成比例的) amounts of time to those efforts.

2. Plan ahead. You may think you Call keep everything in your head, but as the activities on your schedule start piling up, making a schedule can really help organize even little tasks.

3. Study at strategic(关键的) times. Don’t wait until you’re falling asleep to study. Study first. Save those e—mails to check la ter, because tasks that don’t require much energy and attention can still be done when you’re tired.

4.Motivate(激励) yourself! You know that TV show you’ve been dying to see, or that game of chess you’ve been waiting all week to challenge your friend to. Th ese and many other special activities can be used for motivation. Promise yourself that you’ll force yourself to work efficiently.(Don’t rush through the assignment, though.)

5. Take a nap. Sometimes even a 20-minute nap in the afternoon will give you the extra energy you need to get through the day.

We need to play ahead in order to ____B____ .

Think again. Leasing can end up being just as expensive as buying. Most people think about leasing because they believe it will cost them less money. They're right-it is cheaper, but only in the short term. For example, if you were to lease anew Subaru Forester, you might pay $300 per month for the car. If you were to buy the same car, you would pay about $400 per month. Over a three-year, you would save $3600-a big savings. But after your lease is over, you have to give the car back. Many people want to lease because they can drive a more expensive car than they might otherwise be able to afford. For example, if you spend $300 monthly on a car, you might be able to lease a new Ford Explorer. For the same price, you might have to buy a used Explorer, or buy a new but much less expensive model. A lease, therefore, allows you to drive the latest models of more expensive cars. However, whatever car you can afford to buy you get to keep it, and it will always have a resell or trade-in(以新旧换)value if you want to upgrade to a new car later. Furthermore, people who lease cars are often shocked by how much they must pay when the lease is over . Most leases limit you to a certain number of miles. If you go over that, you must pay for each mile. As a result, you may end up paying thousands of dollars in mileage(里程) fees. In addition, when you lease ,you have to pay for regular maintenance and repairs to the vehicle. Since you must return the car finally, you are paying to repair someone else's car.

The Positive Effects of Owning a Dog on Children Dogs are the best friend of children. The dog and the child teach each other things and they look after each other. Owning a dog can have positive effects on a child’s development. Having a dog develops a child’s sense of responsibility, broadens his capacity for empathy, and teaches him the nature of friendship. The first advantage of owning a dog is that it’s helpful to develop a child’s sense of responsibility. Once you own a dog, you have to take care of it instead of only playing it: showering, feeding, walking, cleaning up, hair cutting and so on. Dogs are animals that have to spend time together with people or they get depressed. So you must take some time to stay with it. If they are sick, one can’t just leave it alone. All of these works are required to be carefully done which could make a child become more responsible. Another lesson that a child can learn from having a dog is how to be empathetic. A dog cannot express itself with speech, so its owner must learn to understand what the dog’s behavior means. Is the dog frightened, aggressive, or sick? The child needs to understand what is going on in the dog’s mind. The result of learning to read a dog’s behavior is that the child develops mpathy. By learning how to empathize with a dog, the child also learns how to empathize with other people. This leads to the child becoming a more considerate and caring person.
