Today is National Day. It is a fine day for going out. The air is clean. The sun is bright. We all had a long holiday. We were going to Qingdao to spend the National Day. In the morning, we set off early. Then we went there by bus with a lot of tourists. It took us about five hours to get there. We were very tired when we got there. After I had a good rest, I went to “Yellow River”. The waves are high. There were a lot of people surfing, swimming. The next day ,we climbed the named “lao”mountain. 4、Dealing with disappointment

One way to look at life is as series of disappointments. Life can certainly appear that way because disappointment crops up in the life of everyone more often than satisfaction. How disappointments are handled can have a great bearing on how life is viewed. People can react negatively by sulking or by blaming others or they can try to understand the reasons behind the disappointment.

Sulking is one way to deal with disappointment. This “Why does everything always happen to me?” attitude is common because it is an easy attitude to adopt, but it is not very productive.

Blaming others is another negative and nonproductive way to cope with disappointment. This all-too-common response of pointing the finger at someone else does not help one’s situation. This posture will lead only to anger and unhappiness.

A positive way to handle disappointment is to try to understand the reasons behind the disappointment. An analysis of the cause for disappointment can have an excellent chance of producing desirable results. The ability to look disappointment in the face and often go on from there is the first step on the road back.

5、A bad accident

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident. It’s a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished but neither of them are hurt. After they crawl out of their cars, the woman says, “So you’re a man, that’s interesting. I’m a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There’s nothing left, but luckily we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God, that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days.” The man replied, “oh yes, I agree with you! There has been a heated discussion that money and love, which is more important. Different people have different ideas.

Nowadays, many people show more important to money than love. They holds the idea that money is the most important. Even though a person owe his true love, he doesn’t have money, When they stay together for long time, maybe they will quarrel with each other about life. Then the love is going to change. Many girls think that they can find a boyfriend who love them very much, but they should find a rich husband.

There are also some people who prefer love to money. Above all, they think money can give people social statue, but can not buy the happiness. If a person has much money, but he doesn’t have his true love, he couldn’t feel happy in a family. What’s worse, he may find other woman outside. Furthermore, money can lead a person do something out of his mind.

I think we should strike a balance between the two. We should use money as the base to continue our love. Enough money is enough I think. Without money we can’t do anything. Without love, we can’t be happy.

8、An Outing

After a week’s study and work, our department went to the forest for a picnic. At the edge of the forest there are wooden house, wooden tables and chairs. The oven is made of bricks and the meat is roasted over it. It is called BBQ in short.

Last week we were so burdened with work that now we were delighted to be having an outing. The wind was strong. Alan, Zhang Ying and I tried to fly kites, but the wind was always changing its direction, which made it more difficult but no less interesting.

Then I walked with Fran and her boyfriend deep into the forest. Fran knows a lot about trees and grazes. I learned a great deal from her. When we came back, I was as hungry as a wolf and helped myself to the roast beef and chicken and big, fresh strawberries.

Some friends took their children with them. Mary’s son is only a few months old and seems happy in anyone’s arms. Tim is fond of children, saying he can carry a child all day long. He himself wants to have five children, which made us burst our laughing.

Zhang Ying is good at playing volleyball. So is Tim. He is tall and good at smashing the ball. Our dean, also joined in the game. We played seven matches altogether.

9、fail in the final exam

After having a bath, I returned to my dormitory. When I entered the club to watch TV, one of my classmates hold me back, he told me that there were something wrong had happened.

What’s wrong? I smiled.

“Miss Zhou told me that you didn’t pass the exam.”

I was shocked, I was hurt. However, without thinking too much, I accept the truth though I owe my failure to not working hard enough. My classmate persuaded me to find a help. I decline my classmate with many thanks.

After his leaving, I lingered in the dormitory. I recall what I have studied this semester. Though the professor had warned us and told us something about the exam, I didn’t treat it seriously. I looked over the book several times but I didn’t do enough exercise. It is common to cheat on the test at our school now.

Nearly all of my classmates got to the classroom early that morning to take up a seat which is convenient for cheating. I accept the truth calmly, I don’t want to lose the pride. The exam is too difficult. Though I didn’t know much about them, I still decided not to cheat on the test.

10、If I were Monitor of a class

When I were a student, I had hoped I could be a monitor one day. And if I were a monitor, I had many good ideas.

First, I went to school early everyday. I hoped to open the door of my classroom. Then I check the classroom weather clear or dirty.

Second, I would study harder than before. I should be a smart student in class. And I could help my head-teacher do something, such as organize some activities, announced some news or notices. I could organize my classmates to take part in the school sports every year.
