When I was a kid, my father work outside in the winter, removing snow, or perhaps

chopping some wood. With his coat thrown aside, he was just wearing a shirt , a cap, and a pair of gloves.

Tears clouded my eyes as I stood in our washing room, holding Brett's jeans and shirt full of burn holes.

Tired and defeated, I seated myself to the floor. The clothes were just one more thing Brett had destroyed. He often got almost everything in the house out of order.
