一、语音知识:音标复习

二、语法点拨:特殊疑问句

特殊疑问句:以疑问代词或疑问副词开头,提出疑问的句子。它的基本结构是:特殊疑问词+一般疑问句语序。但是如果疑问词在句子中作主语或作主语的定语,就用特殊疑问词+陈述句语序。常用的疑问词有:what, who(whom), whose, which, when, where, how, why 等,回答时针对问句中的代词和副词来回答,即问什么答什么,不用yes 或no 来回答。本话题我们主要学习wh 特殊疑问句:

1.对职业提问,用What 。

e.g.What is your mother ? My mother is a teacher . 你妈妈是干什么的?我妈妈是教师。 2.对具体日期提问,用What…the date…? e.g.What is the date today ? It’s the second of March .

今天几号?今天是三月二号。 3.对星期几提问,用What day 。 e.g.What day is it today ? It’s Monday . 今天星期几?今天星期一。

4.对颜色提问用What colour 。

e.g.What colour is your coat ? My coat is green . 你的大衣是什么颜色?我的大衣是绿色。 5.对谁提问用Who 。

e.g.Who is the woman ? The woman is my teacher . 这个女人是谁?这个女人是我的老师。 6.对谁的提问用Whose 。

e.g.Whose book is this ? This is my book .

这是谁的书?这是我的书。 7.对原因提问用Why 。

e.g.Why did he come late ? He came late because he was ill .

为什么他来迟了?他来迟是因为他病了。 8.对时间状语提问用When 。

e.g.When does he often watch TV ? He often watches TV at seven in the evening .

英语数词表示数目或者顺序,可分为基数词和序数词。基数词及序数词构成见下表:

的词尾-y变成

-ie再加-th

100 a hundred hundredth (一)基数词从1—100的拼写形式(1)1—12这几个基数词的拼写须逐个记忆。

(2)13—19的基数词都以后缀“-teen”结尾。其中14,16,17,19的词根与4,6,7,9完全相同,而13,15,18的词根与3,5,8不完全相同,要分清。

(3)表示“十”的基数词20—90的词尾都是以“-ty”结尾。其中60,70,90的词根与6,7,9完全相同,而20,30,40,50,80的词根与2,3,4,5,8略有不同,要特殊记忆。

(4)21—99的拼写规律是:十位数+个位数,中间用连字号“-”连接。如:25→twenty-five;99→ninety-nine 等。

(5)100以上基数词的拼法:100→one(a)hundred;1000→one(a)thousand;10,000—ten thousand;100,000→one(a)hundred thousand;1,000,000→one(a)million。

(6)三位数101—999的构成是在百位数和十位数(个位数)之间加and连接。如:

145 → one(a)hundred and forty-five,

508 → five hundred and eight。

e.g.There are three hundred and sixty-five days in a year.

一年有365天。

(7)为了便于认读,一千以上的四位数或四位数以上的阿拉伯数字从后往前每三位数前加“,”。英语中没有“万”这个单位,一千以上而不到一百万的数字都用thousand表示。例如:

4,000 → four thousand;

435,832 → four hundred and thirty-five thousand eight hundred and thirty-two;

72,624,476 → seventy-two million six hundred and twenty-four thousand four hundred and seventy-six。

(8)million,thousand,hundred之后加“s”再加of表示不定数量,如:

成百上千→ hundreds of ; 成千上万→ thousands of ; 成百万计→ millions of 。 (二)序数词的构成

(1)序数词多数都是由“基数词+th”构成的。“-th”一般读作//。在句子使用时,序数词前通常须加定冠词the 。例如: four → fourth ; six → sixth ; seven → seventh ; ten → tenth 。

(2)少数序数词的构成属于特殊情况,需特别记忆。例如: one → first ;

two→second ;

three → third ;

five → fifth ;

eight → eighth ;

nine → ninth ;

twelve → twelfth 。

(3)以y 结尾的十位整数,先将y 改成i ,再加“-eth”,读作/I /。例如: thirty → thirtieth ;

sixty → sixtieth 等。

(4)21以上的非十位整数,要将末尾数改为序数词,前面其他位数仍用基数词。例如:

thirty-one → thirty -first ;

one hundred and seventy-six → one hundred and seventy-sixth 。

(5)序数词的缩写形式是由“阿拉伯数字加序数词后面的两个字母构成。例如: first → 1st ; second → 2nd ; third → 3rd ; fourth → 4th ; fifth → 5th 。 注:记忆口诀

(三)数字的表达法及其读法

(1)年份、年代、时期表达法

年份要用基数词,每两位一读。如:

1990's 读作nineteen nineties (20世纪90年代);

in one's twenties (fifties ,seventies ...)(在某人20多岁时,50,70……);

1978(nineteen seventy-eight )。

(2)日期表达法

日期要用月份加(日期的)序数词表示,有两种读法,如六月二十日,June 20(应读作June the twentieth

或the twentieth of June )。 (3)时刻表达法

① 时刻用基数词表示,“几点整”用“基数词+(o'clock )”,如6:00,six (o'clock )。 e.g.—What time is it ,please ?请问几点钟了?

—It's five o'clock .五点了。

② “几点半”,用“half past ...”或“...thirty”表示,

如7:30,half past seven 或seven thirty 。

e.g.Sara said we would meet at one thirty in front of the museum .

Sara 说我们会于一点半在博物馆前面见面。 Peter often gets up at six thirty (half past six ). Peter 经常六点半起床。

③ “几点过几分(不到半小时)”,用“…(分钟)past…(小时)”或“…(小时)…(分钟)”表示,如,8:05,要用five past eight 或eight five 表示。 e.g.—What's the English for 6: 10? —It's six ten .

④ “几点差几分(不到半小时)”,用“…(分钟)to…(小时)”表示,如,8:50,ten to nine ;如果是15分或45分,则用quarter 来表示,如8:15可用a quarter past eight ,8:45则用a quarter to nine 等。 (4)分数表达法

在分数词中,表示分子时使用基数词,表示分母时用序数词,除分子是“1”的情况外,表示分母的序数词都用复数形式。如六分之一(one-sixth );四分之三(three-fourths )。例如:They account for one-sixth of the population .

(5)数字运算表达法

1+2=3 读作 One plus (and )two is three

8-2=6 读作 Eight minus two is six . 5×6=30 读作 Five times six is thirty 8÷4=2 读作 Eight divided by four is two . 3>2 读作 Three is more than two . 2<3 读作 Two is less than three .

英语中表示“几加几是多少?”时,用“What /How much +is +基数词+and +基数词?”。

e.g.—How much is eleven and nine ?11加9等于多少? —It's twenty .等于20。

—What's six and five ?6加5等于多少? —It's eleven .等于11。 (6)编号的表示法

编号也要用基数词。简单的编号(一位数或两位数),一般用普通的基数词表示即可。例如:Grade Three ;No .15(读作number fifteen )Middle School 等。但较长的数字,就用简化的方法去读。如:Room 307(数字读作three o /u /seven );page 135(数字读作one three five ),电话号码的读法也是这样。用于编号时,可以和基数词互换。

e.g.December is the twelfth month of the year. 十二月是一年中第十二个月。

The second lesson is the most difficult in this book.

第二课是这本书中最难的一课。

Han Meimei and Lucy are good friends. They are in Class Three.

Han Meimei 和Lucy 是好朋友。他们在三班。 (7)“几个半”的表达法。英语中“几个半”的表达法有两种:“数词+and a half +名词复数”和“数词+名词复

数+and a half”。

e.g.four days and a half /four and a half days 四天半 Miss Gao will stay there for about three months and a hal

高小姐将会在这里呆三个半月。

(8)用于表示次数。表示“一次”,“两次”的单词是once 和twice ;表示三次以上则用“基数词+times”;表示“每隔多久一次”用“every +基数词+名词复数”。 e.g.The Olympic Games are held every four years.

奥运会每四年举行一次。

四、冠词的用法

1.冠词概述:是一种虚词,放在名词的前面,帮助说明名词的含义。英语冠词有3个,它们是a, an 和the 。冠词分为不定冠词和定冠词两种。

(1)a, an 是不定冠词。a 用在以辅音音素开头的词前面,读音强

an 用在以元音音素开头的词前

面,读音强。如:a book 一本书;a man 一个男人;an hour 一小时;a useful animal

(2)the

是定冠词,用在以辅音音素开头的词前面,读音;用在元音音素开头的词前面读音

。如:the bike

(这辆)自行车;

the girl

2.不定冠词的基本用法:

(1)泛指某一类人或事物中的一个,代表某一类别(不一定译为“一”)。

e.g.His father is a doctor. 他父亲是医生。

(2)代表某一类人或事物,相当于any(+名词)(不必译为“一”,但必须用a ,表示类别)。 e.g.A student should study hard. 学生应当努力学习。

(3)指某人或某物(不是指某一类),但不具体说明何人或何物(一般译为“一”)。

e.g.This book was written by a worker.

这本书是一位工人写的。

(4)表示数量,有“一”的意思,但数的概念没有one

强烈(一般译为“一”)。

e.g.I have a mouth, a nose and two eyes. 我有一张嘴,一个鼻子,两只眼睛。 (5)表示单位,相当于“每”的意思。 e.g.He walks ten li an hour. 他1小时走10里。

(6)用于某些固定词组中,如:a few, a little, a bit, a lot of 中等。

(7)注意不定冠词在下列搭配中的位置。

在half, such, what, rather, many 之后;在as, so, how, too 修饰的形容词之后。

e.g.I have never met such a nice girl. (=I’ve never met so nice a girl.)

我从未见过这么好的女孩。

3.定冠词的基本用法:

(1)特指某(些)人或某(些)事物。 e.g.Give me the book. 把那本书给我。

(2)指谈话双方都知道的人或事物。 e.g.Where is the doctor? 医生在哪儿?

(3)复述上文提到过的人或事物。

e.g.I bought an English story book and a dictionary

yesterday. The story-book is on the desk. The dictionary is at home.

昨天我买了一本英文故事书和一本词典。故事书在书桌上,词典在家里。

(4)用在大家所熟悉的、世界上独一无二的事物前。

e.g.The earth is bigger than the moon, but smaller than the sun.

地球比月亮大,但比太阳小。 (5)用在序数词和形容词最高级前。 e.g.Mr. Wang teaches the first class. 王老师上第一节课。

Of all the stars, the sun is the nearest to the earth. 在所有的恒星中,太阳离地球最近。

(6)用在单数可数名词前,表示某一类人或事物。 e.g.The horse is a useful animal. 马是有用的动物。

(7)与下列专有名词连用。

①用在江、河、湖、海、群岛、山脉的名称前。

e.g.the Changjiang River 长江 the Great Lake 大西洋

②用在普通名词和形容词构成的专有名词前。 e.g.the United Nations 联合国 the People’s Daily 《人民日报》 the Great Wall 长城

the People’s Liberation Army 中国人民解放军 ③用在姓氏的复数名词前,表示全家人。 e.g.The Creens are sitting at the breakfast table. 格林一家人正围坐在早餐桌旁。 (8)和某些形容词连用,表示一类人。 e.g.the old 老人

the young 年轻人 the rich 富人 the poor 穷人 the sick 病人 the dead 死人

(9)用在乐器名称前。 e.g.play the piano 弹钢琴 play the violin 拉小提琴 (10)用在表示方向的名词前。 e.g.The sun rises in the east. 太阳从东方升起。

(11)用在一些习惯说法中。

e.g.in the morning (afternoon, evening) on the left (right)

in the end go to the cinema 五、代词 1.人称代词

(1)人称代词的概念与形式

人称代词是表示“我(们)”、“你(们)”、“他(们)”、“它(们)”

的词。人称代词不仅指人,也可指物,有人称、数和格的变化。

(2)人称代词的功能

人称代词有主格和宾格之分,主格形式在句中作主语、表语等成分,宾格形式在句中作动词宾语、介词宾语、同位语等,有时也作表语。

e.g.Alice will be graduated pretty soon. She will find a job in another city.

爱丽斯马上就要毕业了,她将在另一个城市找一份工作。(she 作主语)

I love climbing. It keeps me fit.

我喜欢爬山,它使我保持健康。(it 作主语) —Who took away all the books here? 谁把这里的书都拿走了?

—It’s I/me.是我。(I/me 作表语。在口语中作表语常用代词宾格)

We, us three will be able to fulfill the task.

我们,就我们三人能出色完成这项任务。(us 作we 的同位语)

注意:宾格形式在口语中表示强调时,也可用作主语。例:Me believe you!我相信你!

(3)人称代词的用法

① it 的用法:it 原则上用来代物或动物的第三人称,有时也代前面提到的事物。 e.g.The dog is very strong. It's mine. 那只狗很强壮,是我的狗。

② we ,you ,they 的特殊用法:在英语中we ,you 和they 都可泛指人们,译为“我们”、“你们”、“他们”。 e.g.We all make mistakes.

我们每个人都犯错误。(we 泛指人们) They say that everyone can make mistakes.

人们说每个人都可能犯错误。(they 泛指人们) You should make every effort over whatever deserves your efforts.

人们应尽最大努力做值得做的事情。(you 泛指人们) ③ she ,he 等的特殊用法

A .she 可以用来代指国家、船只、大地、月亮等。 e.g.China will always do what she has promised to do. 中国总会按照自己的承诺去做任何事情的。(she 代指国家)

Titanic was the greatest ship of the time but she sunk

down to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.

泰坦尼克号是当时最好的船,但它沉到大西洋海底了。(she 代指船只)

B .男主人常用she/her she 代指自己的爱车、宠物等。 e.g.Would you please take care of my little parrot? She needs good care.

你能不能照顾一下我的鹦鹉?她需要好好照顾。(she 代指鹦鹉)

—Your car looks smart. When did you buy it?

你的车看起来很精致。你什么时候买的?

—I bought her a week ago.

一周前买的。(her 代指车)

C .女主人常用he/his 代指自己的爱车、宠物等。

e.g.My car still runs perfectly. He has been working for me a dozen years.

我的车依然运行良好。他已为我工作12年了。(He 代指the car)

D .在寓言故事中,温柔、善良的动物(鹿、猫、熊猫、小鸟等)常用she 代替,凶猛、粗野的动物(老虎、狮子、狼、熊、狐狸等)常用he 代替。

e.g.Panda Lily is a new member of the circus. She needs time to get used to the new life.

熊猫丽丽是马戏团的新成员。她需要时间适应新的生活。(she 代指Panda Lily)

The fierce tiger came at the monkey when the monkey quickly escaped him into the thick trees.

凶猛的老虎向猴子扑来,而猴子却快速逃到茂密的树林里去了。(him 代指the tiger) ④ 人称代词需要注意的几点

A .主格I 在句中的任何位置都必须大写。 e.g.Mum suggests that I should cheer up when meeting with setbacks.

妈妈建议我在遇到挫折时应振奋起来。

B .在英语中如果出现多个人称代词,是单数并列时需要按照“你”、“他/她”、“我”的顺序排列;复数并列时则按照“我们”、“你们”、“他们”的顺序排列,即单数并列为you ,he/she(him/her) and I(me);复数并列为we(us),you and they(them)。如果需承担责任,说话者则把I(me)或we(us)放在第一位。

e.g.You, she and I should work together and play together.

你、我和她应当共同工作、一起玩耍。

I and Li Ming broke the window.

我和李明把窗户打碎了。

C .人称代词单独使用时,常用宾格而不是主格。

e.g.—I’d like to stay here for another week. 我还想再在这里呆一周。 —Me too.我也是。

—You are supposed to help Jack. 你应该帮助杰克。 —Why me?为什么是我? 2.物主代词
