[注意]

1)如果此句型的动词后面的从句里有否定意义,往往要把否定前置。如:

2)该句型变反意疑问句,主句主语是第一人称且是现在时态时,反问部分与从句一致,否则与主句一致。如:

I think that he has been to Beijing,hasn't he?

He thinks that their team are sure to win the game,doesn't he?

2. This is similar to the “jet lag” you get when flying, …这与你在飞行过程中的时差反应是相类似的。

[解释] When flying是when you are flying的省略形式。在有些表时间、条件、方式或让步的从句中,如果谓语包含有动词be,主语又和主句的主语一致,或者主语是it,就常常可以把从句中的主语和be动词省略。

But he became inspired when he tho ught about helping ordinary people exposed to cholera. This was the deadly dise ase of its day. Neither its cause nor its cure was understood. So many thousand s of terrified people died every time there was an outbreak. John Snow wanted t o face the challenge and solve this problem. He knew that cholera would never b e controlled until its cause was found. He became interested in two theories that possibly explained how cholera ki lled people. The first suggested that cholera multiplied in the air. A cloud of dangerous gas floated around until it found its victims. The second suggested that people absorbed this disease into their bodies with their meals. From the stomach the disease quickly attacked the body and soon the affected person die d. John Snow suspected that the second theory was correct but he needed eviden ce. So when another outbreak hit London in 1854, he was ready to begin his enqu iry. As the disease spread quickly through poor neighbourhoods, he began to gat her information. In two particular streets, the cholera outbreak was so severe that more than 500 people died in ten days. He was determined to find out why. First he marked on a map the exact places where all the dead people had liv ed. This gave him a valuable clue about the cause of the disease. Many of the d eaths were near the water pump in Broad Street (especially numbers 16, 37, 38 a nd 40). He also noticed that some houses (such as 20 and 21 Broad Street and 8 and 9 Cambridge Street) had had no deaths. He had not foreseen this, so he made further investigations. He discovered that these people worked in the pub at 7 Cambridge Street. They had been given free beer and so had not drunk the water from the pump. It seemed that the water was to blame. Next, John Snow looked into the source of the water for these two streets. He found that it came from the river polluted by the dirty water from London. H e immediately told the astonished people in Broad Street to remove the handle f rom the pump so that it could not be used. Soon afterwards the disease slowed d own. He had shown that cholera was spread by germs and not in a cloud of gas. In another part of London, he found supporting evidence from two other deat hs that were linked to the Broad Street outbreak. A woman, who had moved away f rom Broad Street, liked the water from the pump so much that she had it deliver ed to her house every day. Both she and her daughter died of cholera after drin king the water. With this extra evidence John Snow was able to announce with ce rtainty that polluted water carried the virus.

However, the southern part of Ireland was unwilling and broke away to form its own government. So only Northern Ireland joined with England, Wales and Scotland to become the United Kingdom and this was shown to the world in a new flag called the Union Jack. To their credit the four countries do work together in some areas (eg, the currency and international relations), but they still have very different institutions. For example, Northern Ireland, England and Scotland have different educational and legal systems as well as different football teams for competitions like the World Cup! England is the largest of the four countries, and for convenience it is divided roughly into three zones. The zone nearest France is called the South of England, the middle zone is called the Midlands and the one nearest to Scotland is known as the North. You find most of the population settled in the south, but most of the industrial cities in the Midlands and the North of England. Although, nationwide, these cities are not as large as those in China, they have world-famous football teams and some of them even have two! It is a pity that the industrial cities built in the nineteenth century do not attract visitors. For historical architecture you have to go to older but smaller towns built by the Romans. 高中英语教师培训心得5篇 高中英语教师培训心得一:高中英语教师培训心得阳春三月,万物复苏,正是“一年之计在于春”的大好时光,我有幸被我校推荐参加此次培训。虽然培训只有短短十天,但我却收获颇丰,受益匪浅——它大大地指导了我及我校的英语教学工作。通过培训,以及与来自全省各个高中的英语骨干教师交流,根据我的理解,我认为我校英语教学可以做这样的尝试: 首先,根据学生实际,做好初高中英语知识及教学的衔接。 在教学沙龙课堂上,通过与我省其他学校英语教师的交流,我认为铜川市陕煤一中普通班的英语教学方法值得我们借鉴,具体做法是:先进行一周的语音教学,以便于学生自己学习单词的读音,减轻教师课堂上逐一进行单词语音教学,教师只教授一些特殊的,重点的单词读音,这样就大大节省单词教学时间。接下来有重点的教学初二,初三的词汇,语法,句型及情景交际知识。这样做,看起来是占用了高中教学时间,实际上却是节省了时间:在教授初中知识时,学生既复习巩固了以前的知识,又在一个月内慢慢适应了高中教师的教学方式,完成了初高中知识与学习的衔接,学生不知不觉自然而然的进入了高中学习过程。在接下来的教学中,陕煤一中的毕丹老师强调,一定不能快马加鞭的赶课,而是一步一个脚印,扎扎实实,稳扎稳打的进行必修模块的英语教学,否则就前功尽弃了。毕丹老师说,必修模块教学,一定不能贪多求快,选修模块可有挑选的教学,为必修模块教学腾出时间。我们问她这样教学的效果如何,毕丹老师答,根据她们学校两年的教学实践看,学生基本上英语成绩比以往能提高十分左右。目前她们学校这种教法还在继续实践,在实际教学中还在继续完善。我觉得这样教学是否更适合我们的学情。 其次,我校英语教学做到有效整合教材,不能课本上一切全教: 担任此次培训课程的郭继荣教授,是一名资深的我省高考命题人,根据他参与命题的感受,他给我们中学教师的忠告是:考纲是高考命题的范围,命题绝不会越雷池半步,陕西省高考词汇是3200,考点就那么多,考纲上阐明的很清楚,而且三年内的陕西省及全国高考考点高考命题是不会考虑的。因此我们的教学是否可以根据郭教授的思路,参考考纲进行教材整合,做到词汇的删减以及知识的整合。教材整合得当,教学的针对性会大大提高,我们就可以少教,学生就可以少学,学生的学业负担就可以减轻,教学效果就会更高。 最后,教学要用多种方法激发学生兴趣: 我们英语教学比较枯燥,我校学生大部分词汇量不过关,因此课堂教学手段必须更新,用灵活多样的教学方法,组织学生进行广泛的语言实践活动,设计有趣的教学活动,激发学生的兴趣。兴趣是学习最好的老师,一个成功的英语教师要在教学中有意识地培养学生对英语的持久兴趣,激励学生不断处于极佳的学习状态之中,使他们对英语乐学,善学,会学。最终,达到提高英语教学效果的目的。

But he became inspired when he tho ught about helping ordinary people exposed to cholera. This was the deadly diseas e of its day. Neither its cause nor its cure was understood. So many thousands of terrified people died every time there was an outbreak. John Snow wanted to face the challenge and solve this problem. He knew that cholera would never be contr olled until its cause was found. He became interested in two theories that possibly explained how cholera kille d people. The first suggested that cholera multiplied in the air. A cloud of dangero us gas floated around until it found its victims. The second suggested that people absorbed this disease into their bodies with their meals. From the stomach the dis ease quickly attacked the body and soon the affected person died. John Snow suspected that the second theory was correct but he needed evide nce. So when another outbreak hit London in 1854, he was ready to begin his en quiry. As the disease spread quickly through poor neighbourhoods, he began to gat her information. In two particular streets, the cholera outbreak was so severe that more than 500 people died in ten days. He was determined to find out why. First he marked on a map the exact places where all the dead people had liv ed. This gave him a valuable clue about the cause of the disease. Many of the de aths were near the water pump in Broad Street (especially numbers 16, 37, 38 an d 40). He also noticed that some houses (such as 20 and 21 Broad Street and 8 and 9 Cambridge Street) had had no deaths. He had not foreseen this, so he mad e further investigations. He discovered that these people worked in the pub at 7 C ambridge Street. They had been given free beer and so had not drunk the water f rom the pump. It seemed that the water was to blame. Next, John Snow looked into the source of the water for these two streets. He found that it came from the river polluted by the dirty water from London. He imm ediately told the astonished people in Broad Street to remove the handle from the pump so that it could not be used. Soon afterwards the disease slowed down. He had shown that cholera was spread by germs and not in a cloud of gas. In another part of London, he found supporting evidence from two other deaths that were linked to the Broad Street outbreak. A woman, who had moved away fr om Broad Street, liked the water from the pump so much that she had it delivered to her house every day. Both she and her daughter died of cholera after drinking the water. With this extra evidence John Snow was able to announce with certaint y that polluted water carried the virus. To prevent this from happening again, John Snow suggested that the source o f all the water supplies be examined. The water companies were instructed not to expose people to polluted water any more. 再有xx老师跟我们说,与学生必须要进行互动,而且还是强烈的互动,不然学生们只是知道答案,但是不知道问题的最终要点在哪,这是不行的。从她的一个上课中,我知道了在与学生进行问答环节时,我必须要让学生自己去寻找问题中蕴含的知识点,并且还要让他们自己进行解题,这样才是最好的学习方式,会让他们在解题过程中就把知识点学会,是很大的获利的。我从这个老师这里学到了这一个经验,以后我也会加强这方面的教学。 第二堂英语课是高三老师上的,我进去听了一场,我才发现我上课有很多局限,我总是在课上把自己当主体,总是用自己的思维去教英语,没有想到让学生成为主体,他们才能够在上课的时候发挥自己的最大学习能力,这是我没有想到的,果然还是经验太少了的缘故。在这高三课堂上,这个高三的英语老师是有着十几年的英语一个教学经验的。她在课上给我们展示了什么叫学生自主学生英语的情形。高三因为有了高一和高二英语的基础,所以在上高三英语课时,老师是完全信任他们自己的,已经开始把课堂教给他们自己了,在加上也是很重要的一个阶段了,所以老师在这上面就是起
