3. make+宾语+宾语补足语

①形容词做宾语补足语。Rainy days make me sad.

②名词作宾语补足语。We made him our monitor. 我们选他当班长。

③省to的不定式做宾语补足语。

He often makes faces to make me laugh. 他常出洋相使我笑。

④当make用于被动语态时,必须带不定式符号to。形成:

Sb. be made to do sth 。被迫某人做某事

如:We were made to work all night.我们被迫日夜工作。

4. have fun with = have a good time = enjoy oneself 玩的愉快

I had fun with Jim in the park yesterday = I had a good time with Jim in the park yesterday .

= Jim and I enjoyed ourselves in the park yesterday .

【导学提纲】

1. keep + 宾语+ 宾语补足语

①形容词做宾语补足语。We should keep the classroom clean. 我们应当让教室保持干净。

②动名词作宾语补足语。

The boss kept the workers working for 10 hours every day. 老板让工人们每天工作10小时。

③副词做宾语补足语。The rain kept him out. 大雨把他挡在了外面。

2. serve 有“服侍,侍候,招待”等意思,常用于以下结构中:

①serve + 宾语Nobody can serve two masters. 一人不能侍奉二主。

②serve sb sth = serve sth to sb

Mrs Turner served us a very good dinner.=Mrs Turner served a very good dinner to us.

特纳太太招待我们吃了一顿丰盛的晚餐。

③serve sb with sth We served them with beer and wine. 我们用啤酒和红酒招待他们。

3. therefore 副词,“因此,所以”相当于“so”

The shops were closed, therefore, I didn’t buy anything

= The shops were closed so I didn’t buy anything.商店全关门了,所以我什么也没有买到。

4. stay 当系动词,相当于“keep”。意思为“处于某种状态”。

This shop stays closed until ten. 这家商店直到10点还关着门。

②start with可表示“从……开始”;“先从某事做起”,与begin...with是同义词组。反义词

组是end with“以……结束”。

11. ①no one 只用来指人,意思为“没有一个人”,不能和of短语连用。做主语谓语动词

用单数。如:No one wants to go there. 没有一个人想去那。

②none 既可以指人,也可以指物。常和of短语连用。

What is color? Why do some of the things around us look red, some green, others blue?

Colors are really made by deflected (反射) light. We see color because most of the things reflect light. In the same way, if something is green, it reflects most of the green light. If something reflects all light, it is white. If it doesn’t reflect any light, it is black.

People are often killed while crossing the road. Most of these are old people and children. Old people are often killed because they usually cannot see or hear very well. Children are often killed because they are not careful. They have to look and listen before they cross the road. A car, truck or bus cannot stop very quickly.
