Beethoven was one of the greatest composers (作曲家）in the world. He was born in a small city near the Rhine in Germany in 1770. When he was a child, Beethoven didn’t have a happy life. We use a lot of energy to live. Much of this energy comes from oil (石油)，coal (煤）or gas. Natural, but not forever

Gas, oil and coal are important. It takes mill ions of years for them to form. We’ve used them for hundreds of years, and they’ve given power to everything from planes to cars. But they don’t last forever. They are also bad for the environment.

Renewable energy

There are many kinds of renewable energy. They also come from nature and aren’t bad for the environment. And we can use them again and again. One form of renewable energy is solar energy. People collect sunlight and change it into electricity. Another form is wind energy. One form of renewable energy is around for a very long time. It is hydropower. And it comes from falling and running water.

Using renewable energy is a good way to protect our environment, but it also has some bad parts. People usually build solar power plants (工厂）in deserts because the Sun shines brightly there. However, it is difficult to build the plants there. Wind energy power plants are called wind farms and need a lot of land. Hydropower plants can produce a lot of energy and electricity, but they change the environment around them a lot.
