In modern society, increasingly more students do not choose to go to university directly, instead of taking one year off between finishing school and going to university, with conflicting views on if it benefits to the youth. From my perspective, one-year gap tends to have a favorable influence on young students.

Speaking of why the youth be affected positively, the key reason may root in the fact that most of them do not have a clear understanding about the society and themselves which makes them don’t know what they should choose and learn in the collage. Moreover, it is a good chance for them to get known about the difficulties that their parents are going through. For instance, to live in the society they have to find a job. And it is impossible for them to find an easy job with high salary. As a result, they may work as a waiter or dishwasher as well as they will appreciate their parents give them money and let them have a happiness life in the school.

However, some people think it may exert a bad impact on students because it is easily to get involved in the colorful society and do not want to come back to university to study more. It is a waste for young life. while this problem is solvable, as long as they can think it is necessary to study in the university and realize that is the only way that they can live the life they want.

In conclusion, one-year off is a good opportunity to experience tons of different things and learn knowledge that you can’t learn in school.
