Under the guidance of the “Belt and Road” initiative, China and Turkey have conducted lots of co-operations and communication in the economic field, which have changed and benefited Turkey a lot.

First, it’s the steady growth of GDP. Let’s look at this picture; I have three key words to share with you. One number---5%, which means that Turkey’s GDP has an average growth of 5% in the past ten years. It is known that Turkey has serious financial deficit for many years. Since the “Belt and Road”initiate, the year of 2015, China, especially Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has made a number of financial investment to Turkey, which helps a lot in its sustained economic growth.

This picture shows that Turkey has become a member of AIIB since 2015. With the help of AIIB, it can be estimated the steady growth of GDP since 2015, just as this picture shows.

Second, it’s the flourishing bilateral trades. The bilateral trade volume has exceeded $25 billion in 2015, and in 2017 China has become Turkey’s largest importing country. Besides, from this picture we can see that Turkey’s exports to China keep increasing after the “Belt and Road” initiative, which benefits Turkey a lot.

Third, it’s the investment from China. After the “Belt and Road”initiative, more and more Chinese companies find Turkey--- this emerging market, and start make investment. The investment from China in 2015 is worth over $1.6 billion. At present, there are more than 60 large and medium-size Chinese enterprises in Istanbul. As this picture shows, ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China) has invested $450 million to acquire “Tekstilbank”，which is called ICBC Turkey now. It can be believed that the “Belt and Road” Initiative will bring more and more large investment like this for Turkey in the future.
