Hello! Welcome to our programme. This is Doctor Lee speaking to you from Radio Guangzhou. I’m going to talk today about how to stay healthy.

First of all, you need to eat right. You need to eat meat, fruit, vegetables, grains and dairy foods every day. Never eat too much chocolate, sweets or ice cream. Too much of them will make you ill. You need to drink plenty of water every day too.

Secondly, you need plenty of sleep. An adult should sleep for at least seven hours each day. A child should sleep for at least nine hours. How many hours do you sleep each day? Some children watch TV or play computer games for too long at night. That’s not the ri ght thing to do. You need plenty of rest to grow up well.

Thirdly, you should exercise. Sports make us strong and they are great fun. If you are not good at sports, you can try walking. Walking is an easy way to stay healthy. Don’t always travel by car or by bus.
