一、语言环境

非常感谢，各位家长好，我先做一下自我介绍，我是分校北校负责人，同时我也是咱们英语课的老师，接下来我跟大家简单的说一下小学英语学习的重要性。 当前阶段，我们在小学三年级开设英语课程，个别学校是在一年级的时候就开设英语课。学生从三年级或者一年级就开始学习英语，但是很多人并不重视小学英语的学习，包括咱们家长、老师还有学生们，总是认为小学的英语不重要，到中学再学还来得及，因此，教师教得随意，学生学的糊涂，家长也不关心，白白浪费了小学时期这宝贵的时间。 说一下我自己的亲身经历，我上小学的时候，家长、老师是完全不重视英语，甚至我在小学阶段没有上过一次英语课。等到了初中，老师觉得你小学已经学习过英语，像课文单词一类的基础知识完全不讲，讲的都是一些难点、重点，其他都是自学。没有英语基础的我上课完全听不懂，为了跟上英语课进程，跟上其他同学的脚步，付出的努力何止其他同学的三倍五倍，付出总有回报，但因为没有基础，付出与回报不成比例。所以我们要好好珍惜小学阶段的英语学习时间。 其实在小学开设英语课是当代社会发展的需要，有其一定的科学性。首先，小学阶段，学生的学习任务不重，可以给英语学习提供充足的时间，因为语言学习需要有时间来磨练，而小学阶段比中学具有的一个优势就是时间比较充裕，课业负担不是很重，学生可以充分利用这段时间来进行语言学习。第二，小学生模仿力强、记忆好、可塑性强，具有许多成年人甚至中学生不具备的优越条件。第三，小学英语学习可以为中学的英语学习打好基础，主要体现在以下几个方面： 一、培养学生学习英语的兴趣。

兴趣是学习知识最好的动力，不论学习什么知识都是如此，对于没有兴趣的东西，学生学习起来会感到索然无味，他们不会对其产生一种积极投入的渴望，他们只想逃避，更不要期望学生会去主动学习。而小学阶段的孩子比中学的学生有这方面的优势，孩子的脾气秉性比较单纯，只要教师善于引导，他们就会对任何事物都产生浓厚的兴趣，从而积极的投入到学习中来，进而达到良好的学习效果。 二、培养学生的良好学习习惯。 良好的学习习惯是学生不断进步的重要保障。而小学阶段恰恰是培养学生学习习惯的重要时期。众所周知，不论是好习惯还是坏习惯都是从小养成的，而习惯一旦养成将很难更改，而小学阶段正是我们为孩子培养良好习惯的最佳时期。 因此，我们一定要重视对学生的习惯养成，帮助小学生养成认真听课的良好习惯，使他们能够在课堂上把教师教授的知识听懂并掌握；帮助他们养成善于思考的良好习惯，使他们学习的时候能够不局限于课堂，拓展自己的思维，达到活学活用的效果；帮助他们养成积极回答问题的良好习惯，使他们能够在课堂上与教师积极配合达到教学相长；帮助他们养成按时完成作业的良好习惯，使他们能够及时巩固所学知识内容，将所学知识学扎实；帮助他们养成主动学习的良好习惯，使他们能够端正学习态度，保持一种良好的学习意识，为持续学习奠定良好的基础。当小学生养成并保持有这些良好习惯以后，在后继的学习过程中就会取得优异的成绩。 三、培养学生对英语良好的语感。 英语的语感对英语学习和运用起着重要的作用。英语语感是人们对英语语言的感觉，它包括人们对英语的语音感受，语意感受，语言情感色彩的感受等。

People in rich countries make the heaviest demands on the world's resources, its food, fuel and land, and cause the most pollution. A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India.
