One possible version:

Nowadays it is not uncommon to see people like Mark have this sensation—closely associated with so many “friends” online, yet feeli ng remote from people around them.

Quite a few factors make for this phenomenon, of which the most notable one, I believe, is people’s addiction to their smart phones, social media… in a word, the virtual world. By sharing and updating online, people seem to be most gratified to attract a great number of followers. Meanwhile, they find little freshness in their surroundings. Thus, they are blind to and withdraw from the people and things in real life.

A s to Mark’s experience, I feel genuine sympathy for him. To get out of such a dilemma, I would suggest that he cut down on his time spent online, so that he can hang out with his friends more often. More importantly, step forward first to communicate with others when they are deeply lost in the virtual world.

It is typical of sth to do sth.

+ a(n) + n.(单数) + as … D. so considerate a lady是错的,因为s o … as …

A. takes out 拿出;B. brings out 使…凸显出来,说出;C. turns out 呈现出;D. puts out 扑灭。

A. in the light of 鉴于;B. in terms of 在… C. in the event of 如果,万一;D. in advance of 提前。

A. Go ahead 去做吧;

B. Get out 出去,滚出其;

C. Count my blessings 想想我有多幸运;

D. Come off it 别吹牛,不要胡说。

D. white as a sheet苍白如纸;脸色苍白

完型:

36. set

37. across cultures

46. 从上文的than jazz is not black and white anymore可知爵士乐是丰富多彩的。

52. 下文出现的gets us into a dialogue about our emotions and our thoughts。

53. gain insight into sth.

54. and之前的how we talk about ourselves,构成两个并列结构。

55. 上问出现的gets us into a dialogue about our emotions and our thoughts。

A

H efei Park … the vivid stone lotus carved on the arch stands for incorruptibility, which corresponds with the design concept of the park.

A. 从第一小节“so is 5G just another upgrade? Far f rom it.”

第一段中关于Impossible Burger的描述有:an all-plant meat-like pie, having an weirdly chewy, even bloody, meat-like quality,正是这些特征让作者相信Impossible Burger吃起来有肉的味道。

66. lowest-hanging fruits

(Meat production chews up land and lets

out methane by the kilo-ton, accounting for about two-thirds of all greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture.)”

倒数第三段写道,“On-demand fake meat will outcompete traditional meat because “you won’t need to refrigerate it if you’re making it as you go,”cofounder Niko Koffeman says.” 选项B是错误的,依据是“Impossible Foods’ goal is to drive the price of its product below that of Safeway’s 80/20 hamburger meat, at which point people will simply vote with their wallets.” 选项C是错误的,依据为“Plus, fake meat could provide more choices.. “You could have very soft and tender meat for elderly people,”Koffeman adds.”

W: Yes. Instead of a courtyard room, I’d li ke a room with a view, preferably on an upper floor. M: I can certainly change that for you, but there will be a change in the room rate. The new rate is $199 per night, instead of the original $179.

W: No, we’re not. It is a bit cold. We’re staying in a country inn. It’s not like five-star hotels or anyt hing. But it’s really comfortable.

M: Hmm, sounds interesting. You know, it’s the boating that I don’t like.

W: Well, what are you up to?

M: Sit on my sofa all weekend and watch the DVDs I’ve just bought. And that will be a busy weekend. I may finish watching Friends.

Text 10

M: Hello. Welcome to the program. In America, May and June are the traditional months for graduations. A listener in China, Wang Ming, who is about to get an engineering degree, wants to know how American college graduates find jobs. Right now, the answer is: not very easily. A latest study on the college job market showed that employers wanted to hire 22% fewer graduates this year than last. The study also showed that just 20% of those who looked for jobs before graduation have found one by now. This is compared to half of students who had looked for a job by this time two years ago. But one difference: fewer of this year’s graduates have started to search for jobs. Engineering graduates were more likely to have started their job search already, and to have accepted a job. This is among the best-paid professions for people with just a college degree. On average, engineering majors expect to start at about $62,000 a year.
